The Chalice--I watched the world outside, to which i am an outsider. i gazed upon the joyful colors flaunted, dreamed of drinking the sweet nectars so carelessly wasted. Watching this vibrant world, a small, silver chalice was set nearby, away from the cacophony and calamity. adorned with nothing but a lone ruby as the pedals of an intricately inlaid rose, it was everything. as i reached for the chalice, my hand grated upon the coarse and regrettably transparent walls of my room. reaching out for it again as if there was no blood upon my knuckles, the chalice was carried away by one of the living. so close, i could smell her hair thrown back in the airThe Chalice
